Children's Cell

Every Thursday afternoon Darius and Jo take the bus down to Musselburgh harbour where 20-30 children run home from school to attend cell group on the bus. Time is spent hanging out, playing playstaion, watching films, chatting and most importantly getting into the word of God and learning about Him.

Youth Cell

Harry, Tim, Louise and Esther run their weekly youth cell on the bus. The bus is driven to a local train station car park where upto 10 young people come together on a a wednesday night to build positive relationships with each other and with God. Being able to take the "venue" to them means that it makes it easy for people invite their friends. It is our aim to continue this work to see these young people grow in maturity and in Godliness, leading lives which honour God and others before themselves.

Outreach Events

We have taken the bus to the Royal Mile in the heart of Edinburgh to spend evenings reaching out to young people. Loads of curious young people always come aboard to hang out and have coffee or whatever else is on the go in the cafe. We watch films, TV shows, play big games of Fifa in the cinema and just sit and chat with the young people who are very appreciative of the generosity and love that can be shown to them from a "God" bus. Great conversations occur and many seeds are sown into the lives of young people.

James' cell took the bus down to the Grassmarket late on a Friday night for a "bible-bashing-bus-pub-quiz"! We offered free drinks and a quiz for a £1 entry fee for a chance to win a £50 cash prize. At 9.00, 15 of us hit the streets around the area talking to groups to advertising the event and when it was due to start. At 9.30, the bus was packed full of people signed up for the quiz. After the quiz had taken place one of the guys in the cell spoke to everyone from up the front about who we are, why we do what we do, who God is, what He did for them and why he loves them that much. The night was a success with the bus full of students and others with a curiosity to hear what we had to say about Christianity!

We did a similar event with young teenagers in prestonpans - the same event but with easier quiz questions.

We continue to do more outreaches on the bus, not just to young people but to adults and community groups too.
